Pelosi to Syria with a Peace offer !!??

Pelosi Visit to Syria from the Time.com

The American House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is going to visit Syria as announced in her next trip to the middle east. She is considered the highest figure to visit Syria from long time.Already the White house didn't like this and attacked the unwelcome destination of Damascus ,she can go anymore but not to the axis of evil club member Syria.

It seems that the democratic want from now to put an end to the republican Bush foreign policies ,they won't count on the next presidential elections to change the American policies , it is still early and they don't want to correct more mistakes done By Bush and Co. they have enough in Iraq which is a very huge big mistake they need to correct it wisely and as fast as possible

The one can expect that the talks in Damascus will include Iraq mainly as the Becker's report said that America needs the help of both Iran and Syria in Iraq , of course it will include the Lebanese issue and the American-Syrian relations and Palestine

Pelosi first visit to the region after being the house Speaker was to Israel , already Pelosi is considered the faithful girl of the Aipac , oh yes don't put so much hopes on her and that is why I guess that she is mainly going to Damascus on a discovery trip that may include an offer

an offer for a Peace agreement with Israel , again to the Becker's report it is mentioned that the Middle east won't calm down except with complete Peace between the Arabs and the Israelis

If you noticed in the last couple of months the talk returned again about the possible negotiation between the Syrians and Israelis, Olmert in one of his statement said that he thinks that the Golan heights will return one day , Syria seemed to agree on the Arabic Peace initiative in the Arab summit , in fact since day one in the Beirut Arab Summit from couple of years it had approved it

Even in Israel I guess they released that the only way they can get rid from Hezbollah is to cut the aid bridge between it and Tehran , of course the aid bridge is in Syria and the only way to cut it is to have Peace with it

Pelosi I guess is going to see if the Syrians will welcome the talk, of course there will be good incentives to encourage the Syrians to accept the deal .America and Israel need Syria to be in their side because they want to isolate Iran more and more

Already we won't know anything for sure till Pelosi visit the beautiful Damascus

  2. I really don’t know…

With respect to your opinion Zeinobia, I don’t put much hope on the Democrats in general, especially on Bellucci.

For little time after democrats gained majority (marginal majority after all) I hoped things will take different course, on the contrary…..

The Congress acquires the ability to cut-off cash from the operations in Iraq (practically end the war) by frankly rejecting financing the operations, but this will be for very expensive price on Democrat network of interests not to mention many Americans whom will consider it (betrayal to the forces in action).

Instead, the democrats are wasting time throwing stones on the lame duck (AKA Bush), drafting (Auxiliary Resolution) linking the finance to irrational schedules of withdrawal as which they are sure that President will VETO with eventually no effect on the operation finance at all. !!!!!

And now, Mrs. Bellucci is playing the role of Peace Pigeon with nothing to offer & nothing to enforce.

It is all but cheap publicity for the coming elections, the coming 2 years will be very very boring, I am bored already!

    Sorry for my long entry
    P.S.
[I agree to cease fire with Amre Albino, and you can cancel the comment that irritates him, but I am afraid he already turned on you directly…!]

  5. It is clear that the Democrats in US want to explore oprtunities in the Middle East, as the US Congressional and Presidential elections are approaching.
Do not expect too much from the visit...it is just to confirm the Democrats stance towards the main issues in the region

  6. @Dr. Yasser, I think this visit more and more is made only to provoke Bush and show that he doesn't have any control anymore,Syria has constants which won't comprise on , Pelosi is just going to open a dialogue with a deal help in Iraq would give Syria a better chance in the Peace process as they will pretend
I don't expect much for this visit not from Pelosi but from the Syrians they much wiser to fall in the trap

  7. with all due respect aardvark. It appears to me that you are a gentelman and a real Arab Knight.

I can understand your gallant defence of Zenobia who is like a sister to me because of the Egyptian Arabic blood running in her viens..............

Anyway, from your writing style, structures........etc i think i have figured out your real identity. I think that you are a blogger and that you are a girl. Dont take that as an offence, i dont mean any harm by it.

As, I resent all sorts of male chauviny in Egypt and any sort of discrimanation against your gender.

Again, my judgement has got nothing to do with neither your character nor physical appearance which of course i know know nothing about.

And by the way, I'm not xenophobic. But i have made so much research about persian crimes and policies. I'm willing to discuss them with you, in a civilsed rational manner! do you?

    cordially

  8. The Palestinians have done it again. This time they have kidnapped a BBC journalist. Now how does that help their case , I don’t know , what do they gain by doing this , again I don’t know. What I do know is that they (the Palestinians will never miss a chance to screw themselves.
We have seen them over the years send suicide bombers onto buses while their elected leader (Arafat) was sitting negotiating. Kidnapping aid workers, journalists, setting fire to the British council office and planting a bomb in the Al arabiya office. Now they keep on saying they want the west to help them with their cause !!!! Why would anyone want to help them when they do stupid things like these . The government needs to get a grip on what is happening and the people have to wake up and smell the coffee.

  9. I am not a big conspiracy fan but knowing how well the mossad Shin Bet work, I would not be suprised they are involved. If they did not kidnap the journalist, most likely they gave the idea to the palestinian militants.

  10. Pelosi is about as useless as tits on a bull. It's all show and that's about it. As an American Democrat, I've given up on the whole lot. I'm getting extremely skeptical of anything - it's politics as usual and that's it. Nothing to make a big deal about. Believe me, we Dems have been waiting, and waiting and waiting; and what have they done? 100 hours - bullshit!

@egyptian kangroo,do you know that I wanted to speak about this matter , it is not thins ,it seems to me that there are some palestinians who working for palestine but in the other direction

@God bless america , you know on the contrary I am a big conspiracy theory supporter and that's why I agree on the shin Bet involvement

@vagabond,I know how is too frustrating for you and other democrates I know , but it is better than nothing leaving all to the conservatives is even worse

  12. FYI: I received an e-mail today from Media Matters, with the following:
    Dear Friend,
For much of the past week, CNN and its White House correspondent Suzanne Malveaux have offered a steady stream of inaccurate and incomplete coverage of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-CA) trip to the Middle East and her April 3 meeting with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad. Please join us in demanding that CNN and Malveaux stop misinforming viewers about Pelosi's trip and present all the facts.
Since April 2, Malveaux has wrongly and repeatedly claimed that Pelosi had no "standing" and was not acting in an "official capacity," has attacked the trip as "political theater" and a "political stunt," and has parroted the Bush administration's attacks on Pelosi for going to Syria while ignoring the fact that a Republican-led delegation met with Assad on April 1. Most recently, Malveaux asked whether Pelosi's trip was a "big wet kiss to President Al-Assad."

Other CNN personalities have joined in as well. Lou Dobbs devoted an entire segment to "Pelosi's bad trip," while the April 3 edition of Anderson Cooper 360 featured a segment on Pelosi's trip titled "Talking to Terrorists."

After several days of inaccurate, one-sided coverage, it's time to tell CNN enough is enough. It's time to take action.

    Sincerely,

    Jamison Foser
    Managing Director
    Media Matters for America

  13. @vagabond blogger , it is very interesting , unfortunately I didn't watch the CNN lately ,I think Pelosi's visit succeeded and that' is why Bush and co. are so mad and trying to underestimate it making it appear like nothing , because it proves to what extent his failure reached in the foreign affairs in the middle east
as I told Pelosi's visit is just another episode of the parties war between Democrates and republicans and the democrates won't be weak this time because they lose another coming presidential election
